Summer 1 Week 4 - Slime

Slime... across the curriculum...
 
On Friday, in order to take a break from SATs revision, Wolf Rock class used the theme of slime to inspire our writing and Maths throughout the day.
 
In the morning, during Maths, we considered the ratio of different ingredients in order to ensure we made enough slime for everyone.
 
After play, we used the theme of slime to inspire our writing. The children wrote letters addressed to Mr Cornish to encourage him to let them make slime in the afternoon. But, of course, we were always going to make the slime so we added in a layer of complexity. The children were also to persuade their teacher why they should be the group leader... the one who chose both the colour and the scent of the slime. 
 
Some excellent writing was written by all!
