Grampound Road Village CE School

Gribbin news 25th September 2017

The children in Gribbin class have enjoyed apple pressing this week. They were fascinated to learn how the process works and how the juice is released from the pulp. Everyone had a little taste of diluted juice and mostly really liked it.

The children drew some lovely story maps of the Owl Babies story and they could talk about each stage of the story. They now know the actions and are very confident.

In maths we have been doing plenty of counting and matching numbers to amounts of objects. We have also done some addition and subtraction activities with the puppet 'Naughty Knight.'

I would like to add that the children have been very helpful to each other and kind and it is good to see the children so engaged in their play and learning.

This week in your book bag you will notice the reading record book, please add any comments, we love to hear from you.

Thank you for coming to the meeting on Thursday it was good to see you all.

Next week we will be thinking and learning about what makes us similar and different.
