Grampound Road Village CE School

Gribbin news 20th November 2017

Thank you to the parents that attended our phonic class on Tuesday. I hope you feel this was useful. I was super impressed with your children and how they concentrated and focused with so many other adults in the room. The children are making really good progress in phonics and I would like to thank you for all the reading you do at home which is so beneficial to the children.

This week we learnt about the celebration 'Thanksgiving' it was nice to have a circle time on what we are thankful for. Each child was able to say what they are thankful for and their responses were very thoughtful. They children loved making pancakes on Friday and all had a little taste which went down very well!

In school we have started learning the songs for the school play. We have made a positive start, but will be concentrating on the play for the next two weeks. We have seven songs to learn. I am teaching the songs by using actions and so far I am pleased with their efforts.

I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday for the Maths session.

If anyone would like to volunteer in school we would welcome you. It is lovely to have parent helpers in school and your help is invaluable.
