A new PSA (Parent Support Advisor) has been appointed by the Roseland: Kathy Marris. She will be in school every other Wednesday morning at meet and greet time if you need to chat with her. Her contact is email@example.com She will start next week on the 26th April. Come and say hello to her.
We pride ourselves on the caring atmosphere of our school. Sometimes, things happen or a child tells us something that we have a duty to refer to the Multi Agency Referral Agency. We will always work with you as parents in the best interests of the children in our school.
Internet and E-Safety
The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children’s. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.
You might be struggling to keep up with the things your child is doing online, you might wonder whether what they are doing is safe, and you might also be thinking how can I be as good a parent online as I am offline?
If you are worried about any E-Safety issues do not hesitate to contact us. You will see on the School Homepage a 'button' which goes straight to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP)
E-Safety education forms part of the School's Curriculum. There is also alot of advice available for parents and carers online; websites we consider useful are listed below.
|Think U Know||Put together by the CEOP team, this website provides lots of E-Safety resources F Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online.|
|Think U Know (8-10)||The section of Think U Know website aimed at 8-10 year olds.|
|KidSMART||Another site full of good resources to support E-Safety. It was put together by Childnet International, a non-profit organisation working with others to “help make the Internet a great and safe place for childrenâ€.|
|Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre||The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre is dedicated to eradicating the sexual abuse of children. It is part of UK policing and very much about tracking and bringing offenders to account either directly or in partnership with local and international forces.|
|Vodafone Digital Parenting Magazine||An online version of Vodafone's 'Digital Parenting' Magazine - full of lots of useful tips for parents.|
