Grampound Road Village CE School

Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to St Piran’s Cross Multi-Academy Trust of Schools

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Grampound Road CE Primary Academy, this school is member of St Piran’s Cross Multi-Academy Trust of five primary academy schools. The other schools are: Bishop Bronescombe CE in St Austell, Grampound with Creed CE, Ladock CE and Veryan CE.

All our five schools are Church of England primary schools and to this end we try to ensure that there is a Christian distinctiveness to our schools. However, we welcome everyone to our schools regardless of their faith or beliefs.

We are all positive about the autonomy and independence that comes with our schools being a group of academies working together. The schools are accountable to a ‘Board of Directors’ and the Diocesan Board of Education.

As five primary schools we work hard and strive to provide a first class education for children in our schools. Our standards are high and we are constantly looking for ways to continue to improve each school within our Trust. We are proud of the work of our teams and I know that they place the interests of your children at the heart of all decisions and work that we do!

We will want to work in partnership with parents and carers and will provide regular opportunities for you to come into school. We have an open door policy and all problems and concerns will be promptly dealt with.
Grampound Road CE Primary Academy is a modern and purpose built primary school with extensive grounds.

The school is popular and places are in high demand. The school has recently opened a new class to cope with this increasing demand. Miss Marie Cameron is our Head of School at Grampound Road and she is a very experienced and capable Head. We will be working together to lead the school, I will be in school two or three times per week and please come and find me if you need to discuss any worries, concerns or other matters. I know that Miss Cameron’s door is always open!

The school will send you a newsletter every Friday and the Trust Newsletter will be sent out every month.
I hope to see you children regularly when in school to share and celebrate with them their hard work, efforts and achievements. It will be my aim to award to ‘EP’ stickers and send home post cards to inform you of this!
I look forward to meeting you in the near future!
