We think homework is important. The nature of the homework we ask the children to do will clearly depend on the age of the child and what they are learning. It is always built on learning that has happened in their class and could be games, activities, research or learning texts.
Children start learning their ‘tables’ and spellings from year 1. Please support and encourage your children with learning these to apply in everyday learning.
If you any questions regarding homework please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Homework prepares children for secondary education and helps to keep parents involved with their child’s work. Parental support with homework would be appreciated.
