Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the leavers' service yesterday. It was a wonderful and grand event where some excellent talents were shared with the school and parents. The children in Y6 fought back tears and were excellent at sharing their passions and talents.
Today, Holywell Class had an end of year water fight. As the leavers' service was yesterday, it freed up time on the final day for something special. As a class, we voted for a water fight. And what a fun event it was. Mr Moore was smothered in water, topped with frozen ice! What a great deal of fun (although I'm not sure Mr Moore would agree!).
Thank You from Mr Cornish
Thank you to all children and parents of Holywell Class. It has been an amazing year teaching all of the 25 children in my class. I am going to dearly and greatly miss all of the children in Y6. I wish them every success in their future studies and always offer myself as a point of call if there is anything I can do in the future.
To the children who are currently in Y5, the adventure, as they say, is only just beginning. Next year will more magical, fulfilling and special than you can even begin to imagine. As a teacher, I serve my community, both the children and the parents. It will be my honour to serve the children and parents of Grampound Road for another academic year.
For now, please have a fantastic summer holiday and may every day be blessed with sun and happiness.
Children please always remember: effort beats ability.
