Carne class news 17th October 2016

Last week the children learnt how to add two numbers using objects. They are also learnt to read number sentences and understand the maths symbols for addition and equals. In literacy they read some short  words and the children can now make up some words using the magnetic tiles. It has been a great half term and already I'm seeing plenty of progress in all areas. Next term our topic will be celebrations and during the first week back we will be learning about bonfire night. I have put a homework grid in your child's book bag. This is linked to our new whole class story 'How to catch a star.' The children will learn the story in school. You may do one of more of the homework activities which need to be finished during the first week back. We will display the homework, this will give the children an opportunity to talk about their work.
