Godrevy Class this week have been busy with learning more about the jungle and lots of fun physical activity.
In Maths they have been learning about the calculation of subtraction. The children have learnt they need to put the biggest number first to record the calculation. They have used number lines to jump back to find the answer.
In Literacy this week the children have been learning about alliteration. Alliteration
happens when words that start with the same sound are used close together in a phrase or sentence. The sound is usually a consonant and the words don’t have to always be right next to one another.
The children have looked and explored jungle animals and described them using alliterative sentences.
Great work :-)
In PE the children have enjoyed developing skills of extension, tension, balance and holding of shapes with Mr Keast on the appartus. The children thorough enjoyed learning how to climb the ropes and practice these key learning aspects.
